Default Can't get to Minister Cho's Estate

Ok,

I bought the Guild Wars GOTY and played for a while. Then I bought Factions and Nightfall. So I am making my way through Cantha and realize I can't get to Minister Cho's Estate.

How do I get there? I see there are two mission over there, one at Minister Cho's Estate and another at Zen Daijun. I can't get there to do those missions.

Where do I go or who do I speak with to open those areas up?

You have to do the primary quests.

If you have brought your character from Prophecies to Factions, then the primary quests are not available to you. You can get to Minister Cho's Estate outpost by following the directions on this wiki page.

As a foreigner, you have to get to the Shing Jea Isle first. To do that, travel to the marketplace (outpost one map down from Kaineng center). In the outpost, one exit will lead to the docks, where an NPC will let you travel to Shing Jea.

Once on Shing Jea, you can just walk to the mission outpost.

Yes, one of the annoyances in Factions is that they lock the gates to peasants and mercenaries until they enter from the correct direction.

So long as there is not a character from factions in your party, the gate will be open
